 What does this product do?

 The TL-SF1008P is a switch that has 8 unmanageable 10/100Mbps ports that require no configuration, and provides 4 PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports. Automatically detects and supplies power to IEEE 802.3af devices (Powered Devices - PDs). In this case, power is transmitted along with data on a single cable allowing you to expand your network where there is no power outlet, where you want to place devices such as APs, IP cameras or IP phones, etc.

 Power over Ethernet - PoE

 4 of the 8 RJ45 Auto-Negotiation ports (ports 1 to 4) support PoE function. PoE ports automatically detect and provide power to IEEE 802.3af devices (Powered Devices - PDs).

 - Overload Disposition
 The TL-SF1008P has the function of prioritizing and distributing power to the ports and helps to protect the system when the system is overloaded. If the power consumption of all PoE PDs is greater than or equal to 57W, the system will cut power to the lowest priority port.

 - Port Priority Function
 Priority(port-1=port-2=port-3>port-4): This function will help to ensure the normal operation of the system, it means that port 4 will be eliminated when the total power consumption of PoE PDs exceeds 57W. As an example, ports 1, 2, and 4 are using 15.4W (maximum power per port is 15.4W); the system power is 46.2W in total. If there is an additional PD inserted to port 3 with 12W, then the system will cut the power to port 4 due to overload, this means that ports 1, 2 will use 15.4W, and port 3 will use 12W, while no power will be supplied to door 4.
